To showcase Crisp Malting’s new season Maris Otter malt, we have revived a long-forgotten style by brewing a 1913 recipe from the Boddingtons archives. Called a ‘C Ale’ or ‘CC’ (presumably based on the fact that it used US Cluster hops) it was specific to the Manchester area and was a little like the malty, amber Burton Ale style, but with an assertive hopping rate
